Greek, Kings of Macedon, Alexander the Great, 336 to 323 BCE, silver drachm. Obverse: Head of Herakles right wearing lion's skin. Reverse: Zeus seated left, holding eagle and scepter. Unable to determine the mint due to the coins being mounted and the reverses partially hidden. These are set into modern 15K gold cufflinks. Size of one: 0.75" diameter (1.9 cm); total weight of both: 19.6 grams

Provenance: private Dere Family Collection, New York City, New York, USA, acquired in the 1980s to 2000s
