India, ca. 17th century CE. This is a small part of a wooden cart, carved with the image of a god riding a quadruped - possibly a tiger - in high relief. The god has four arms, two of which hold implements while the other two are held up in a symbolic gesture. Size: 3.45" L x 6.6" W x 14.2" H (8.8 cm x 16.8 cm x 36.1 cm)

Provenance: Ex - Private San Diego, CA collection acquired in the 1980's.
