A powerful soapstone sculpture of an Inuit hunter, grasping a harpoon sculpted from walrus ivory as he strides forward; his massive shoulders hunched over as though he is peering into a fishing hole. A wonderful portrait of life in the arctic! Size: 5.6" L x 3.9" W x 11.1" H (14.2 cm x 9.9 cm x 28.2 cm)

  • Condition: Missing ivory implement that was in proper left hand. Some small chips, nicks, and scratches to surface, but imagery is still clear. Otherwise, very nice condition. Harpoon is removable from hand. Disc number signed on underside of base.
