Glen Pollard (First Nations Canadian, Haida, b. 1957) ca. 1993 CE. "Killer Whale & Salmon." A lidded cube shaped box hand-carved from argillite stone, the eyes and teeth of each animal is inlaid with nacre and white shells. The underside of the lid is titled, signed, and dated, and the base is also signed, and each animal’s face is identified: thunderbird, raven, beaver, and salmon. Size: 3" L x 3" W x 3" H (7.6 cm x 7.6 cm x 7.6 cm)
