Description:

**Originally Listed At $350**

Western Europe, England / France, or United States, ca. 19th to mid-20th century CE. A collection of 3 wooden clarinets each with brass keys none have markings and are different lengths and likely various pitches. Note the number of keys between the mid-sized and largest instrument- suggesting these were made several decades apart- the largest appears to have the modern standard number of keys. The clarinet underwent many changes in the 19th century - everything from materials, number of keys, size, and tone were being adjusted and a standard design had not been adopted by many musicians until the mid-19th century. Size of largest: 26.5" L x 3" W (67.3 cm x 7.6 cm)

Provenance: ex-Stein collection, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA, acquired prior to 2010
