Western Europe, France, reign of King Charles X, ca. September 1824 to August 1830 CE. An ornate brass inkwell with 3 central chambers, 2 solid lids, and a perforated lid, all topper with petite pine cones or grape clusters. Included are a pair of hand-carved ivory pens, one with an openwork midsection and the other with a solid, bulbed midsection, and each with a pointed writing nib. Size (inkwell): 3.3" L x 6.6" W x 2.6" H (8.4 cm x 16.8 cm x 6.6 cm)
