Western Europe, France, Neoclassical period, ca. late 19th century CE. A powerful brass sculpture of Neptune (Greek Poseidon) the Roman god of the sea, after the French sculptor Gustave Trouillard, enveloped in faint gold wash. Size: 9.8" L x 5.9" W x 17.3" H (24.9 cm x 15 cm x 43.9 cm); 20.25" H (51.4 cm) on included custom stand.
