Persia, Iran/Iraq, ca. late 18th to 19th century. Necklace comprised of modern cord to which has been attached seven silver or silver-toned medallions/ religious icons. The medallions include a central plaque with raised floral designs, two smaller plaques/medallions to the side with one showing a warrior on horseback raising a sword, the other with abstract religious elements, then two book-like medallions possibly representing the Karan and finally two twin-barrel objects. Central pendant measures 2-1/4" W by 2" H. Necklace can adjust in size from about 24" to 16".
