Description:

**Originally Listed At $175**

United States, Alaska, ca. mid 20th century CE. A charming mold-made and hand-painted porcelain figure of an Inuit man with a fish. The fish is suspended from a hemp cord adhered to the man's hands. The man stands upright with the openings into his hollow body visible on the underside of his boots. He is bundled in traditional tan 'hide' clothing with a thick fringe of brown 'fur' around his neck. The fish, perhaps a salmon, is an impressive catch (relative to the scale of the figure - pun intended). The man is slightly stooped with a thoughtful expression on his molded face. Size: 2" W x 7" H (5.1 cm x 17.8 cm)
