Native American, US Southwest, New Mexico, Acoma Pueblo, ca. 1950 CE, signed by Miss E. Vallo (active mid-20th century). An evocative ceramic painted disc pendant with leather strap. One side and the edge is painted with a dense black on white snowflake-like motif, with the surface divided into eight wedges by thin black lines. Signed on reverse, "Acoma, N.M., by Miss E. Vallo." Many members of the Vallo family are famous potters from the Acoma Pueblo. Pierced twice with a leather strap through the holes for suspension. Size: 4.95" W (12.6 cm); leather cord is approximately 28" L (71.1 cm)
