Eastern Asia, 20th century CE. This is a trio of nested square boxes decorated with geometric squares and large diamond designs, red, green, yellow and black with yin-yang (um and yang in Korean) symbols on the center. The boxes are lined with patterned paper with a design of flowers in green and red squares. They were made to hold sewing supplies. Size: 6.9" L x 6.9" W x 2.7" H (17.5 cm x 17.5 cm x 6.9 cm)

Provenance: ex-Morgan Collection, Santa Monica, CA.
