An early Mudos carved and painted wooden skull mask from Chilpancingo, Guerrero, with an expressive visage comprised of round eye holes, high cheek bones, a 'bony' septum, and a wide toothy grin, still showing remains of red pigment on the surface, perforated at the top for suspension and/or attachment. Size: 8.25" L x 5.375" W (21 cm x 13.7 cm)
