Description:

North Pacific, Hawaiian Islands, ca. late 20th to early 21st century CE. A beautiful lidded cup, finely carved from koa wood and signed by artist Dan DeLuz (1934-2012). The circular lid has a slightly concave profile that fits into the bowl. The cup has a round but stable base and a thin rim overhanging the deep basin. Both lid and cup display the gorgeous graining of the koa wood and are polished to a lustrous sheen. The base of the cup is incised with the artist’s name and the type of wood. Size (w/ lid): 3.5" W x 3.4" H (8.9 cm x 8.6 cm)
