Native American, Southwestern USA, Arizona and New Mexico, Hopi Peoples, ca. mid-20th century CE. A handsome group of four kachina figures, made by the same hand and using the same painted color palette. They are a Godmother, a Fire God, a Cow, and a Guaro figure. Kachina figures are meant as gifts for children representing kachina dancers and the supernatural katsinam beings they embody, and are part of the Pueblo tradition, which includes the Hopi and the Zuni tribes. Size of largest (godmother): 3.5" W x 7.05" H (8.9 cm x 17.9 cm)
