Native American, Northwest Coast, Alaskan Native/Inuit people, 20th century CE. A hand-crafted dog sled model or toy comprised of wooden strips - some of which were skillfully bent, tied with cotton threads, and also including a long handle with a metal hook at the end. Arctic peoples, especially the Inuit, travel a great deal across their tundra landscape; in the winter, they use dog sleds to gather food, resources, and visit friends and family.
