Delbert Buck (b. 1976), Native American, Navajo, ca. late 20th century CE. Delbert Buck is a Navajo folk artist who began creating artwork from recycled materials at the ripe age of twelve and was represented by a gallery by the age of fourteen. Buck usually carves his pieces from cottonwood limbs and then paints his creations with bright acrylic paints. Here we have a lively school bus occupied by a driver and three passengers, all wearing similar button down shirts in red, orange, brown, and olive green and bright cobalt blue pants, perhaps blue jeans with painted white stitching. A lovely piece, particularly as the academic year is about to begin once again! Size: 16" L x 6.5" W x 10.25" H (40.6 cm x 16.5 cm x 26 cm)
