Native American, Northwest Coast, ca. 1960s CE. A striking painted tin dance mask with an articulated jaw in the form of a raven, painted brightly in a style evocative of pop art, with bright blue, red, and yellow outlined in black. Cloth and leather straps allow the jaw to open. Black fabric lines the back edge. Size: 28" W x 12.5" H (71.1 cm x 31.8 cm); 23" H (58.4 cm) on included custom stand.
