Pacific Northwest Coast, ca. mid 20th century CE. A bentwood style box comprised of red cedar and painted on each side with totemic animals in traditional red and black pigments. On the underside of the base are two opposing "L" stamps, possibly a mark for Louis V. Larsen, a wood carver of Western Washington who has a box of his in the Burke Museum at the University of Washington in Seattle. Size: 4.375" L x 4.375" W x 5.625" H (11.1 cm x 11.1 cm x 14.3 cm)
