North or West Africa, Tuareg / Touareg people, Berber culture, mid-20th century CE. A stunning copper and silver alloy talisman pendant of a triangular shape etched with linear and foliate motifs, the dangling ornaments attached via jump rings along the lower edge. The pendant is strung on a cotton cord with faceted Tuareg beads and Czech fire-polished faceted glass beads of an iridescent blue and black, terminating with black spherical beads. The copper-silver alloy beads are all Tuareg made and wearable via a vintage cotton cord and accented by the additional glass beading, an overall dazzling arrangement! Size of pendant: 4.25" L x 5.5" W (10.8 cm x 14 cm); strand: 28" L (71.1 cm); silver quality: 34%; total weight: 205 grams
