Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. An elegant 22K+ gold ring (comprised of 96.9% gold) with thick shoulders, a tapered shank, and a central circular bezel. The eye agate inset in the bezel protrudes from the ovoid ring with umber and white bands. A wearable piece of exquisite Roman artistry! Size: 1" W x .875" H (2.5 cm x 2.2 cm); quality of gold: 96.9 to 98.1% (equivalent to 22K+) Interior diameter: .75" (1.9 cm) 11.8 grams.
