A delightful trio of stone intaglios: one of citrine featuring a dancing maenad playing a lyre, another of agate showing a standing male - perhaps Mars (Greek Ares) - driving a chariot, and, lastly, a carnelian stone displaying a helmeted female - likely Minerva (Greek Athena). Size of largest (citrine maenad): 0.7" W x 1.1" H (1.8 cm x 2.8 cm)

Provenance: private Danvers, Massachusetts, USA collection, acquired by descent; ex-USA collection, acquired before 2000
