Pre-Columbian, Colombia & Mexico, Quimbaya, Jalisco, & Quimbaya cultures, ca. 500 BCE to 1400 CE. A group of three terracotta figures representing distinct regional traditions of Pre-Columbian art. A Quimbaya seated male figure resting on a conical base, possibly once serving as the lid to a funerary urn, a form associated with ancestral commemoration. A Jalisco standing male figure mounted on a modern wood stand, characterized by a projecting 'sheep-like' snout and a tall head crest. Last is a hollow Teotihuacan terracotta head fragment. Size of largest: 6.5" W x 9.5" H (16.5 cm x 24.1 cm)
