North America, US Midwest, Missouri, St. Louis, ca. 1000 BCE to 1500 CE. A great ensemble of thirty-one hand-knapped chert arrowheads, all found near St. Louis, Missouri. The collection includes a variety of different forms and styles, with different tangs and peripheral widths, some being straight, others triangular, and some even diamond-shaped. The types of each are labeled on the stones, from left to right, top to bottom, with some having multiples in a row: Matanza, Karnak, Godar, Ellis, Morhiss, Motley, Table Rock, Hanna, Langtry, Raddatz, Marcos, Rice, Palmillas, Big Creek, Hemphill, Helton, and Gary. Size of largest: 3.25" L (8.3 cm).
