Description:

**Originally Listed At $300**

Native American, Northwestern United States, Alaska, Beringian/Old Bering Sea Culture, Punuk & Thule to Inuit, ca. 200 BCE to 1800 CE. A fascinating collection of chiseled and carved tools and artifacts used for hunting and daily tasks. The centerpiece is a thick cedarwood handle featuring a slot designed to secure a prism-shaped stone, likely a scraping tool. Also included are a barbed spearhead carved from marine mammal bone and a bone panel with drilled holes, possibly for lashing or attachment purposes. These artifacts, preserved by the cold climate, are often uncovered by ocean erosion, offering glimpses into the resourceful adaptations of these ancient coastal peoples. Size of longest bone: 8.5" L x 0.8" W (21.6 cm x 2 cm)
