Prehistoric Pueblo, Jeddito, Tonto Basin, Arizona. Ca. 1100 - 1450 A.D. A large polychrome decorated Anasazi pottery bowl, decorated on the interior with two painted red-orange large rectangular elements in the center, surrounded by an abstract bird. Exterior has two opposing painted beaded bands. Interior decoration has been repainted. Repaired from approximately seven large original pieces with break lines left visible. Two minor rim flakes. Ex. Allard Auctions, 2009, lot 73, with copy of sales receipt. Together with a Salado polychrome decorated bird-form vessel, having a projecting head and tail feathers, wide opening in the center of back. Repaired from approximately fifteen original pieces, a 1" piece missing from the rim. Some break lines restored but left slightly visible, some restoration and most of the painted decoration has been refreshed. Together with a Salado Pinto polychrome bowl having a black on white painted interior depicting a coiled coral snake Repaired from approximately ten original pieces with break lines left visible. Some of the painted decoration has been enhanced. Finally, a Salado polychrome bowl having a red-orange ground and black and white abstract zoomorphic decoration around the exterior. Repaired from approximately ten original pieces with break lines slightly visible, and a 1/4" minor rim chip. Painted decoration is original and not enhanced. Size: 5-1/4"H. x 11-3/8"D.
