Description:

Northern Europe, Scandinavia, Viking or Norse culture, ca. 9th to 11th century CE. A fine collection of 16 spear tips and projectile points of various sizes and shapes. Each tip is comprised of a blade and a tubular socketing shaft. The blades range in shape, from narrow and pointed, to petaloid and triangular. Several have perforations on the socket for securing to a pole. All are covered in a rich russet-brown patina. Size (largest): 7" L x 1.375" W (17.8 cm x 3.5 cm); (smallest): 3.875" L x .375" W (9.8 cm x 1 cm)
