Native American, New Mexico, Acoma, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A gorgeous pottery canteen of a bulbous, spherical form with one side flattened to serve as the base and the other painted with a double-headed thunderbird in Sikyatki revival style. A narrow spout protrudes from the top, flanked by a pair of twisted, loop handles tied to a leather strap for suspension. Size: 6.6" L x 5.5" W x 4.6" H (16.8 cm x 14 cm x 11.7 cm)
