Native American, Southwestern United States, east central Arizona, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), ca. 1275 to 1325 CE. A beautiful pottery bowl with a rounded base, tall walls, a deep basin, and a thin rim. The smoothed white surfaces are decorated with concentric zigzagging lines and tight spirals in jet-black pigment which conjures visions of the lightning storms that mark the skies of the desert southwest during the rainy season. Size: 10.75" W x 5.9" H (27.3 cm x 15 cm).
