Native American, Pacific Northwest Coast, Tlingit or possibly Haida, ca. 1500 to European contact period CE. A beautiful smoothed grey stone club in the form of a fish, with a barb-shaped tail and pronounced dorsal and pectoral fins. Stone clubs were made to evoke the wooden clubs used in actual combat; in stone, they had a ceremonial purpose. Custom museum-quality display stand included. Size: 17.125" L x 3.875" H (43.5 cm x 9.8 cm); 4.5" H (11.4 cm) on included custom stand.
