A special lot focusing around long time collector and amateur archaeologist, Art Gerber. Gerber is owner of one of the world's preeminent collections of Native American artifacts - many of which he found at the Crib Mound Site in Spencer County, Indiana. His book, "The Art Gerber Story: A Lifetime of Collecting Along the Ohio River," has hundreds of pictures of spectacular artifacts from his collection. Included in this lot are two of the over 10,000 cache blades that Gerber and two friends found washed out of Crib Mound on the banks of the Ohio River. Blades measure: 5"L & 4"L. Also included is "The GE Mound Case" by Jim Fisher which chronicles Art Gerber's legal prosecution for his activity at another site called the GE Mound site. He ended up serving time in prison for his activity there. A chance to own two pieces from a famous collection with information about their discovery.
