Description:

Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Aztec, ca. 1300 to 1521 CE. A charming redware vessel with an extended conical spout and a repeated linear motif around its flattened disk-shaped base. The vessel boasts a lustrous burnish over hues of burnt sienna and light orange sitting comfortably atop three nubbin legs. The spout has a striking silhouette as it rises monumentally from out of the mid-section. The incised minimalist motif along its body perhaps depicts a wildflower. Size: 3" Diameter x 3.25" H (7.6 cm x 8.3 cm)

Provenance: private Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA collection; ex-Dr. David Harner collection, Springdale, Arkansas, USA, acquired between the 1950s and 1960s
