Description:

Ancient Central Asia, Bactria, ca. 3rd to 2nd millennium BCE. A large circular idol, hand-carved from a mottled brown stone with light inclusions, with a shallow slot/groove carved into both faces and around the sides which divides both faces into semi-circles. Each face and the peripheries exhibit some slight roughness, but is expected due to age. Size: 13.125" Diameter x 2.5" H (33.3 cm x 6.4 cm).
