Description:

**First Time At Auction**

North Pacific, Hawaii, ca. 19th century CE. A fabulous wooden cup made from the inherently beautiful Hawaiian wood called pheasantwood. The elegant vessel presents a circular, tiered foot, a squat leg, thick walls that form a corseted body, and a gently flared, annular rim. Boasting hues of chocolate, chestnut, caramel, and mocha, this gorgeous vessel exhibits a lovely woodgrain surface, displaying natural striations reminiscent of layers of sand that dance across the body of the vessel, nicely complementing its graceful form. Size: 7.5" in diameter x 8" H (19 cm x 20.3 cm)
