**Originally Listed At $350**

Ancient Near East / Central Asia, Northwestern Iran to Eastern Turkey, Luristan Culture, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A short sword blade cast from bronze, notable for its pronounced central midrib and elegant leaf-like profile, tapering to a narrow tang. The blade's surface has developed a mottled green and brown patina with earthen deposits throughout, while the edges and spine are slightly roughened with age. Metallurgical XRF analysis reveals a notably high tin content, and such tin-enriched alloys were valued in antiquity for their increased hardness and silvery sheen, making this an object of both practical and aesthetic importance. Size: 18.25" L x 1.8" W (46.4 cm x 4.6 cm)
