Description:

Pre-Columbian, northern Peru to southern Ecuador, Cajamarca culture, ca. 700 to 1100 CE. Lovely and rare pottery kero in conical form. Pointed base painted brown along with the fantastical, abstract creatures that adorn the upper section of the vessel. Between these creatures (perhaps some form of mud fish) are crosses, and an additional register of crosses decorates the top. Custom base. Size: 6" H (15.2 cm) not including base.
