Description:

Native American, Western United States, Plains Tribes, Cheyenne, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A pair of hide moccasins, fully adorned with vibrant glass beadwork. The uppers are richly decorated in light blue ground with accents of cobalt, red, yellow, and white, featuring bold geometric motifs and circular "keyhole" patterns. This circular design is deeply symbolic, representing the earth's portal or the opening from which ancestral beings first emerged. The soles display honest wear from traditional use, while the beadwork across the toes and sides remains in remarkable condition, showcasing the artistry and cultural heritage of Cheyenne beadworkers. Size: 10" L x 3.5" W x 3" H (25.4 cm x 8.9 cm x 7.6 cm)
