Description:

East Asia, China, Tang Dynasty, ca. 618 to 907 CE. A trio of delightful gilt bronze fittings, each made to be attached to something decoratively. First, a lion, with a long, stretched body and a flat backing behind its tail, giving an idea of how it once fit against something. The second is a crouched zoomorph, probably one of the many chimeras in Chinese myth; this figure is atop a tall plinth with a tab on its lower side. The third is a standing Buddha atop a thin stand. Size of largest (lion): 1.9" W x 1.15" H (4.8 cm x 2.9 cm)
