East Asia, China, Warring States period, ca. 475 to 221 BCE. A hand-built pottery jar of a squat form with a concave base, a compressed apple-shaped body, and a squat rim. Dense netted patterns are impressed into the vessel to give it a textured surface for gripping with the absence of handles. Size: 6.9" W x 4.125" H (17.5 cm x 10.5 cm)
