Description:

Cyprus, Early Bronze II Period, ca. 2900 to 2650 BCE. A tapered bulbous pottery bottle with petite slab-made, perforated shoulder lugs allowing for suspension and a subtly flared rim atop of a short cylindrical neck. The exterior presents a mesmerizing geometric design program comprised of six, quasi-triangular panels adorned with hand-painted russet red wavy linear motifs, each panel framed by bands of consecutive, straight russet lines. A wonderful example of ancient Cypriot pottery. Size: 5.25" in diameter x 6.5" H (13.3 cm x 16.5 cm)
