North America, United States, ca. 21st century CE. An impressive knife featuring a handle crafted from fossilized mammoth molar, displaying rich striations of earthy reds, creams, and browns from the layers of enamel and dentine. The blade is forged from sharp, patterned Damascus steel - also known as watered steel - renowned for its durability, cutting edge, and striking natural wave-like surface. The knife comes housed in a finely stitched leather sheath with a secure snap closure and belt loop for easy carrying. A functional yet collectible piece, blending ancient fossil material with traditional steelwork, perfect for display or use. Size of blade: 4.5" L x 1" W (11.4 cm x 2.5 cm); in sheath: 9.5" L x 2" W (24.1 cm x 5.1 cm)
