Description:

Denmark, ca. 3900 to 1700 BCE. This is a nice grey and white chert lance head with clear strike marks and some retooling. During the Danish Neolithic, hunters began to shift their lifestyle to agriculture; this required clearing and burning woodland and domesticating animals. An item like this was both a handy tool and a mark of status. Size: 4.4" L x 1.4" W (11.2 cm x 3.6 cm). Ex-private J. Connell collection, Massachusetts.

Provenance: Ex- Connel collection, MA
