A hand carved wooden crucified Christ with an intriguing assortment of silver and brass milagro charms, rosary beads, and embroidered vestments. A brass bezel with a photograph of praying young woman is sewn to his waist. Milagros, also known as ex-votos, are religious folk charms used as votive offerings and for healing purposes in Mexico, other regions of Latin America, and the southern United States. The faithful attach them to altars, shrines, and sacred objects like this Christ. Size: 12" L x 4.5" W x 22" H (30.5 cm x 11.4 cm x 55.9 cm)
