North America, Pacific Northwest, Haida, ca. 1930s CE. A beautiful, lidded, spruce bentwood box clad in gorgeous embossed copper sheet on the lid and sides, with soft leather lining the interior. Traditionally, bentwood boxes were used for storing and serving water and foodstuffs. Today, many are made as beautiful pieces of art. The sides are decorated with the stylized heads of Raven and Beaver. Size: 4" L x 5.75" W x 3.05" H (10.2 cm x 14.6 cm x 7.7 cm)
