North America, Mexico, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A leather ammunition belt known as a bandolier with 40 leather loops sewn across the length of the exterior for holding individual rounds of ammunition. A brass double pronged buckle and strap with punch holes, make this belt adjustable for the wearer. Bandoliers were worn across the shoulders or around the waist, depending on the size. This is a fantastic piece that certainly conjures up images of gunslingers and revolutionaries. Size: 44.75" L x 2.25" W (113.7 cm x 5.7 cm)
