Description:

**First Time At Auction**

Native American, Western United States, Plains Tribes, ca. early 20th century CE. A wonderful handmade deer hide pouch with lovely glass beadwork. The pouch is sewn to form a rectangular pocket with loops and straps at the top for cinching the top closed. The front is adorned with hundreds of glass seed beads in hues of red, cobalt blue, green, and white to create a linear border around a red and teal sun or star motif. Strands of beads cascade downwards from the pouch's base, creating a mesmerizing effect as they sway with the movement of the satchel, and additional beadwork decorates the hem along the opening. Size of pouch: 8.5" L x 3.75" W (21.6 cm x 9.5 cm); case: 8.875" L x 1.5" W x 10.785" H (22.5 cm x 3.8 cm x 27.4 cm)
