Description:

Egypt, probable New Kingdom, ca. 16th to 11th century BCE. This small alabaster ear plug is one of those pieces that reminds us that some fashions can be timeless! Perhaps the most famous celebrity to ever have ear plugs was King Tut, whose mummy mask shows that they were a part of his personal decoration and body modification. This small alabaster plug, with a mushroomed top, is probably from the New Kingdom based on shape and style. Size: 1"H x 1/4"L x 1/2"W.
