Near East, Egypt, Bedouin culture, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A lovely high quality 84% to 92% silver cuff bracelet, with a thick band etched with linear motifs and ovoid nodes. Near one terminal end is a recessed rectangle containing silver assay marks. This cuff exhibits traditional Bedouin style with the protruding bosses. This piece was intended for a smaller wrist or perhaps a child - Bedouin women carried their wealth in the form of heavy silver jewelry, such as this. Size of band: 2.2" Diameter x 1.5" W (5.6 cm x 3.8 cm); gap opening: 1.18" W (3 cm); silver quality: 84% to 92%; weight: 217.2 grams.
