Egypt, Third Intermediate Period to Late Dynastic Period, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A charming figurine depicting the god Ra-Horakhty, "Ra, who is Horus of the Two Horizons." This is a later dynastic version of the sun god Ra, merged with the god Horus, and believed to rule the sky, the earth, and the underworld. Here he is depicted with his sun disk and the head of a falcon, striding forward, wearing traditional Egyptian clothing. Size: 0.6" L x 0.3" W x 1.5" H (1.5 cm x 0.8 cm x 3.8 cm); 1.6" H (4.1 cm) on included custom stand.
