Egypt, Third Intermediate Period, 21st to 25th dynasty, ca. 1070 to 712 BCE. A large, solid cast bronze amulet of Nefertum, the son of Ptah. He was the god of the morning sun, perfume, and other aromatics, closely connected to creation and the promise of rebirth. Here he is shown mummiform, with a towering headdress, portrayed as striding forward with one leg. Comes with custom stand. Size: 0.8" W x 3.55" H (2 cm x 9 cm); 4.6" (11.7 cm)
