Description:

Egypt, 26th to 30th Dynasty, ca. 664 to 342 CE. Cast bronze figure with lovely green patina representing Harpocrates, son of Osiris and Isis born in the lotus flower like Nefertum. Assuming the traditional seated position, his left hand extended, his right forefinger pointing to his mouth, hair styled in a sidelock, and the nemes head cloth with uraeus and diadem surmounted by the hem-hem crown flanked with uraeus serpent heads. Suspension loop behind head. Comes with custom stand. Size: Figure alone measures 3-1/4" (10.2 cm).
